Owner, Full-Time Sitter/Walker
I have been an animal lover my entire life and figured what better way to show my appreciation for my love of animals than by caring for the best furry friends of others while they are away.
When I was a child, I had a German Shepherd who was my best friend for 13 years. I also had cats, turtles, fish, a cockatiel, a Shih Tzu, and two Yorkies while growing up. I loved knowing I always had someone to keep me company!
I currently live in Berks County with my husband and teenage daughters. We share our house with Chloe (Brussels Griffon/Pug Mix), Lucas (Pit Bull), and Otis (Boston Terrier).
In addition to the pets of my own, I am also a foster parent/volunteer for Mostly Muttz Rescue! I love being able to help save the lives of those in need. Although my foster dogs moved on to their forever homes, they will always be a part of my heart and family!
My dog Stewie and I travel the neighborhood severals times a day. In fact, most of my neighbors know me as that lady that walks the little white dog. Up until recently my yellow lab would make the trek with us as well. Unfortunately, Cosmo recently lost his battle to cancer. I felt like I was at a crossroads with my life, not knowing if we should venture out to get another dog.
I have a daughter that attends the University of Oregon, a son that attends Ohio State University, and my oldest son graduated from the USC, and works in New York City. I felt like it might be time for my husband of 25 years and I to set out and travel . I didn’t think I could make the full time commitment to another dog. So that’s how I became a dog walker! It was a way to fill my void and enjoy the company of other peoples dogs.
I’ve had dogs all my life and I’ve loved every one with all my heart. I love everything about dogs, the energy, the companionship, the loyalty and the fun. Everyone always says that when they die they want to come back as one of my dogs!
When I was a child I had a Pound Puppy that I would sleep with every night and wish that I had a real dog. I would occasionally pester my parents about getting one but it took many years of doing that until it eventually worked! I was so happy the day that we finally brought our Shetland Sheepdog, Max, home! He was my best friend for 15 years of my life. He was smart, funny, gentle, and well behaved; just an overall amazing dog. I have also had many awesome cats over the years and will continue to have animals for the rest of my life.
I grew up in Sinking Spring and have lived in Berks County my entire life. I am currently enrolled at RACC where I am pursuing an associate degree in Computer Technology. In my free time I enjoy playing sports and spending time with friends and family (many of which have animals of their own). I have been passionate about animals all my life and I love connecting with them on an emotional level. My favorite thing about animals (besides being furry and adorable) is that they don’t judge you, they just genuinely love you and that is an amazing thing to experience.
Growing up I had a German Shepherd Husky mix named Buster. He was my best friend! I begged my parents to get me another dog and always would point out the pets section of the newspaper to them. They eventually gave in and I ended up with a Schnauzer mix named Eddie and a Terrier mix named Tiffany. My parents were always concerned when I left the house that I would come home with any stray dog I would see! Since I was young I have owned 9 dogs. All hold a special place in my heart.
I used to walk dogs when I was younger and would babysit dogs while their owners were out of town. I currently am a student at RACC going for my Associates degree in Communications. I am a mom to a sweet little boy and currently live with a Yorkiepoo named Bernard. He was named after a Christmas elf! In my free time I enjoy being with my son, cuddling with my pup, and writing.
I have two dogs of my own – Chance, 8, and Boo Boo, 13. Both pups were rescue dogs from the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. Boo Boo was one of my foster dogs when I used to foster for the ARL and I fell in love with her and ended up adopting her. I loved fostering senior dogs and was sad but happy when it was time for them to find their forever homes.
I have two grown daughters and three beautiful grandchildren. It’s fun to be a pet sitter/dog walker and I get to meet so many sweet and wonderful animals. They all hold a special place in my heart. Just seeing them greet me when I come in just melts my heart!
My other interests are Football (Philadelphia Eagles) and going to dinner, plays and movies with my friends. I have loved animals all my life and I promise that I will always treat your pet like it was my own.
